Trinity Hill Summer League concludes
The final round of the summer league season took place on Wednesday 15th March. After another season of weather issues, we had beautiful blue skies for the last round.
The final of the Match Play was played seeing Mudgway Partsworld playing against Regal Furniture. It was very tight for most of the evening with it coming down to the last putt on the 9th green to break the deadlock with Mudgway Partsworld taking away the victory by the narrowest of margins 2.5-1.5 taking home the trophy and free entry for next season.
The overall competition playing for the Trinity Hill Wine Experience saw Pita Pit in the box seat and a lead that would have taken a lot to give up to 2nd place. But another consistent performance seeing them finish in the top 5 on the last night saw them take away the overall convincingly by 34 points.
A special thank you to Trinity Hill Wines for their continued sponsorship of Summer League. They have supplied the wine every week that goes to the team winners and the overall winner getting the Trinity Hill Wine Experience which Pita Pit will no doubt enjoy.
A fundraising night for teams was held end of February raising $1,350 which was passed on directly to Napier Golf Club to help with their incurring costs from Cyclone Gabrielle.
Lastly, we want to thank the teams that participated this season. It has been a pleasure to run Summer League this season. It was very enjoyable to watch the competitiveness shown by all the teams and also the great banter and chat that everyone has had in the bar after each round.
