Another month has flown by with a few frost delays. Great to see so many out on the course playing, keeping the course very busy. I want to thank Ben Simons our Course Superintendent for presenting the course in superb condition, we have had lots of comments from our members and visitors alike who have really enjoyed the course. Thanks also to the Fairways staff for providing a fabulous variety of delicious food.

Central Zone Association Day - Monday 20^th June

This annual Fundraising Event and Competition was held at the Hastings Golf Club. The weather was not kind, but we continued. There were over sixty players who entered in the 18 hole and 9-hole competitions. Congratulations to Buffy Longstaff who won the day on 38 Stapleford points, runner up was Jennifer Hartley on 37 points and Robin Symes finished in 4th on 35 points. In the 9 Hole competition Karen Major finished 2^nd on 20 Stapleford points and Barbara Armour 5^th on 17 Stapleford points. Well done, Hastings.

Please sign up on the lists in the Women’s Locker room if you wish to play in the Hastings Golf Club Women’s Club Championships. Open to all Full Playing 18- & 9-Hole Affiliated Members. Matchplay with no shots given. Entries close on Sunday 3^rd July 2022. The seeding for the draws will be on handicap at close of entry.

Senior:             Scratch – 18.4

Junior:               24.9 – 40.4

• With the exception, of the Club Championships final, all dates listed are deadline dates. Whenever possible, matches should be played before the deadline date.
• The Golf Committee reserves the right to alter or amend dates due to unforeseen circumstances.

Club Championships finals must be played on Sunday 30th October unless prior exemption is obtained for exceptional circumstances

Tuesday Women v Tuesday Men Tuesday 16^th August

After a successful fun day challenge last year, the Golf Committee has created another Men v Women Day. This is to be held on Tuesday 16^th August with a Shotgun Start at 9.30am. More details later.

Suzelle “Lingerie & Swimwear”- 18 Hole and 9 Hole Shootout

This competition is underway. Cost $10 to enter the event and $2 per card submitted. The final of the Shootout is held on Sunday 28th November. Both Shootouts will be played over 9 Holes. Thanks to those who have entered so far, give it a go, it is a fun annual event.

• 1pm - Shotgun Start – 18 Holes (pairs) Best Ball Pairs Stableford Competition.  
• 5.30pm – Canapes and Cocktail Hour.

Tuesday 15^th November

• 9am - Shotgun Start – Individual Event 18 holes. Gross and Stableford in 3 Divisions.  
• 2pm - Lunch and Prizegiving
