Women's Update

Well, covid had certainly hit the Hawkes Bay Region and I really hope you are all keeping well and fit. Please see below the latest information regarding up-and-coming Events/Competitions. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone the Association Day to be held on Monday 28^th March, this was to be held at our Club. A new date will be advised later in the season.

National Teams Qualifying (18 Holes)

Dates for the Qualifying is on either Saturday 26^th March or Tuesday 29^th March. Cost to enter is $3. Please enter with the Pro-Shop. The top four qualifiers represent the Hastings Club at the District Finals held at Maraenui on Monday 4^th April.

There is a Basket in the Women’s Locker Room where we are seeking donations from our members. The Hastings Donation Basket Theme – Coffee / Tea / Chocolates / Drinks & Snacks. Members we would appreciate your support of donations to fill the Hastings Basket. This will be raffled at the National Teams District Final. Raffle Tickets $2 per ticket are for sale at the Pro Shop. Funds raised are used by the Association to assist with all Team Travel Costs.

Rules Course March 21^st – May 9^th, 2022

NB: THIS HAS BEEN CANCELLED

The Rules of Golf – Online Rules Assignments 2022. 

This is being offered instead of the above course. 6 assignments, FREE, E-mailed to participants on a weekly basis from March 28^th to May 2^nd, 2022. Suzelle “Lingerie & Swimwear”- 18 Hole and 9 Hole Shootout

This competition is underway. Cost $10 to enter the event and $2 per card submitted. The final of the Shootout is held on Sunday 28th November. Both Shootouts will be played over 9 Holes. So, get your cards in for this fun competition.  Please note there is a Prize for the Top Qualifiers in each competition. Full details of this competition are on the Notice Board in the Women’s Locker Room.

Women’s Masters

Congratulations to Martha Manaena and Rahira Ellison who have been selected from our Club to represent the region. This is held at Alexandra Golf Club, Otago from 29^th March – 3^rd April. The full team is Martha Manaena, Rahira Ellison, Janie Field (Napier), Kathy Olsen (Maraenui)and non-travelling reserve Clare Choi (Maraenui). We wish the team well.

Campbell Cup / Molly & Margaret Prize/ Bill & Mary Cup & 9 Hole Matchplay

The final rounds have been completed. A draw will be posted in the Women’s Locker Room shortly. Please be proactive in coordinating your Matches.

Round One:     Tuesday 27^th April / Wednesday 28^th April (9 Holes)

Round Two:     Tuesday 25^th May / Wednesday 26^th May (9 Holes)

Round Three:  Tuesday 22^nd June / Wednesday 23^rd June (9 Holes)

Nancy MacCormick Memorial Foursomes

The competition is Foursome’s handicap stroke play. This is played over two rounds. Players choose your own partners.  Please see the notice board to enter.

Round 1: Tuesday 26^th April / Saturday 30^th April

Round 2: Tuesday 3^rd April / Saturday 7^th April
