We Enter Red

Today with the country we are now operating under the Red Traffic Light system. 

In terms of golf nothing changes from the club policy we are currently using.  In some instances a shotgun format may change to two-tee.

The main change is now with the number allowed in the clubhouse. This is restricted to 100 people limit which includes children but excludes staff.  There is now 1m distancing between tables which are set in groups of four - your playing group only.  The tables outside the pro shop are also spread out to the 1m distance, so please do not move these.

The wearing of masks continues and only to be removed once you are seated.  Please ensure these are on when entering all buildings and when ordering any food & beverage.
 
 

Hastings Open & Pro-Am

These events are still scheduled as planned and amendments are being worked on as necessary.  If you are participating in either of these events you will be receiving some direct information applicable to each tournament.

Napier Golf Club have extended reciprocal access for the Open, as we acknowledge their Kapi Tareha Tournament.  Visitor bookings are available from 12:24pm - 12:52pm on Saturday, and anytime on Sunday.

Members can book on line or call the Pro Shop at Napier GC to book. 
 

Bar Duty Manager Vacancy

Members may be aware Stefen is about to finish his time at the club and heading to be closer to family in Wellington. We wish him the best as he moves back to the capital.

We are currently advertising for this position but the continued hospo shortage continues to impact us.  If anyone is aware of a person that may be suitable for the role please direct them to our trademe advert or get in touch with Michelle Campbell.

In the interim, our F&B team are working on some changes to ensure the duty manager responsibility is covered on busy days.  Unfortunately, there may be some forced closures upon us again until we can recruit.  This will be communciated and notices put on the clubhouse door week by week.
 

Hawke's Bay Golf Club 

The Board of the Hawke's Bay Golf Club have revised the reciprocal green fee pricing for Hastings Golf Club.

As of 24 January 2022 the reciprocal green fee is now $40 for 18 holes at their course.  Anyone playing with a HBGC member will pay $25 per 18 holes.
