This will gauge general membership feeling towards any policy and give us direction going forward. 

The 2021 Greenwood Cup Rounds 1-3, was held at the OngaOnga Golf Club on October 16 -17. The Greenwood Cup is one of the longest contested cups in New Zealand golf. Played for by the top 10 players from each of the top eight Hawkes Bay teams it is contested via a round-robin competition, meaning seven rounds of match play "off the stick" over two weekends. Hastings Golf Club have a good record over the are the current holders 3 years in a row.

The weekend starting with a win against a very strong Hawke's Bay GC team 7-3, win against Dannevirke 7.5-2.5, On Sunday we faced the host club OngaOnga GC and came up short 4.5-5.5. Giving us a real challenge in mid November when we meet Maraenui, Napier, CHB, and Karamu Golf Clubs at our home course.

I would like to thank all the players including the players not mentioned who supported us from the sideline for their time and efforts over the weekend. We welcomed two new players had their first Greenwood Cup experience Mike Trass and Brad Schmullian hopefully they will be able to join for the final 4 rounds at Hastings GC the weekend November 20th and 21st.
