Coronation Cup Result - so so close!
Our Hastings Coronation Cup team were hosted at Takapau Golf Club for zone qualifying last weekend. The four teams contesting within the zone play were Takapau, Porangahau, Waipukurau and Hastings. With the final rounds counted three teams were tied with two team wins a piece. Takapau, Porangahau and Hastings, so a 'games won' countback is applied. Takapau held on to win with 22 wins, Hastings 21.5 wins and Porangahau 18 wins. It came down to just half a game! Two Hastings members had three wins; Tony Johnson and Kris Bower with Wayne Mudgway scoring two wins and a half. Our Congratulations to Takapau for their win, a well organised and well run competition and also course presentation. Kris Bower Reserve Team Captain |

Ongoing Community Support
A recent initiative by our new Head Chef Kial, was to connect with local non-profit organisation Nourished for Nil. Their system is simple, to rescue food from donors to recipients in the space of mere hours. Nourished for Nil was formed in 2017 with a mission to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to the Hawke's Bay community. The goal is to minimise the food waste in Hawke's Bay and keep our community nourished for nil. We don't have a lot of food wastage but we are donating what we do have to this local organisation to help those less fortunate in the community. |

Subscriptions Now Overdue

There are still a number of the second instalment of subscriptions unpaid. If you have a balance still due you will have some difficulty in printing a scorecard for your game. Please call the office if you are unsure and we can assist. Payment can be made with the office or in the pro shop via eftpos. |
